DWAYNE NELSON
H. Dwayne Nelson, 72, died December 23, 2010 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, Fort Pierce, Florida.
He was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce. He graduated from Dan McCarty High School, Class of 1956. After High School he served 4 years in the United States Air Force, spending 1 year in Korea. Before retirement, he was the owner of Nelson's Cleaning Service for 41 years.
He was currently a member of Fairlawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Anne Sutherland Nelson; sons, Bradley Nelson of Tampa and Kevin Nelson of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Glenda Lindsey and her husband Vent Lindsey; brother, Michael Nelson and his wife Patsy Nelson. He was preceded in death by his parents, D. C. and Allie Nelson.
Services: Friends may call on Monday, December 27, from 5 to 7:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28th at Fairlawn Baptist Church, 3003 Rhode Island Avenue, Ft. Pierce, Fl 34947 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mike Oostdyk officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
