Eddie James Fuller, Sr.
Eddie James Fuller, Sr., 77, died December 2, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Fuller was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Bird Fuller; sister, Olivia Walker; brother, Ralph Jackson; son, Skip (Lana) Fuller; grandchildren, Alayna & Joshua Fuller and many nieces and nephews.
Eddie was a star football, basketball & baseball high school athlete. He was recently inducted into the Football Hall of Fame for Somerville High School, Somerville, New Jersey. He was a member of the American Legion.
A highly decorated Marine Corp veteran, Eddie served in the Vietnam War from 1962-1968. As a marine Corp Platoon Commander, he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received numerous military awards including a Good Conduct Medal; Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon; Navy Commendation Medal w/combat V; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device; marine Corps Squad Competition Medal w/gold; Rifle Marksman & Qualification Badge; Combat Action Ribbon Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry Cross Medal). His goal was to complete a long military career, but a debilitating aviation accident derailed him. Despite this, Eddie was always a Marine, devoting his life to all things USMC. He loved collecting anything and everything related to U.S. Marine Corp.
