Edith Bernece Maillaro

Edith Bernece Maillaro, age 85, died on November 2, 2010 in Fort Pierce, FL. She was born in Okeechobee, FL and was a lifelong resident of Fort Pierce.

She was a Legal Secretary for Fee Parker and Sample (later known as Fee Parker & Neill), a certified shorthand reporter for Gaffney & Clum, co-founder of Florida Court Reporters, Inc., Legal Secretary for Robert Stone, State Attorney, and retired as Legal Secretary for Bruce Colton, State Attorney. She was also a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Laura Maillaro of Fort Pierce and Linda (Steve) Hayskar of Port St. Lucie; and her grandchildren, Justin and Stephanie Hayskar of Fort Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Maillaro and son, Steve Maillaro.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of St. Lucie County, 100 Savannah Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00AM, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
