Edith Victoria (Saunders) Bena Pascale, age 94, passed peacefully on August 27, 2013, in Fort Pierce, FL. Edith was born in Long Island City, New York, on February 15, 1919. With her husband of 49 years, Victor Bena, Edith raised their family in Cornwall and Queens, New York. Later, both resided in the Pocono Mtns of PA and Cape Coral, FL where Edith was a supervisor for the Cape Coral Utilities Department. After Victor's death in 1987, Edith moved back to the Poconos.
With her second husband of ten years, Dominick Pascale, Edith lived in the Poconos, Ocala, FL and Wilmington NC. After Dominick passed, Edith moved to Fort Pierce in 2005, where she resided at Lake Forest Park. She was a member St. Mark's Catholic Church.
Edith was predeceased by her husbands and by son Victor A. Bena and daughter Joan M.Whitney. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (and husband Kevin) Austin of Fort Pierce and Kathleen Bena of Raleigh, NC. She is also survived by a sister Alma (Jim) Forsyth of Chadds Ford, PA, Son-in-Law Barry Whitney of Goshen, NY, and 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Services: Family and Friends reception will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2013, at Lake Forest Park Club House, 2909 S. 25th St., Ft Pierce, followed by a memorial at 2 p.m.
