Edward J. Russell, 79, died September 11, 2005 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Russell was born in Queens, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce 18 years ago coming from Rockland County, New York.
Prior to retirement he was the director of labor relations for the New York Telephone Company for 37 years. He was on the code enforcement board of St. Lucie County, past chairman of Holiday Pines, H.O.A. and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.Edward served in the Naval Air Force during WWII, Pacific Theatre.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary T. Russell of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Kevin Russell of Montvale, NJ; daughters, Maureen Russell of Bronxville, NY and Victoria Russell of Wellington, FL; brother, Donald Russell of Dumont, NJ; sister, Helen Wigley of Inverness, FL; grandchildren, Shaun Russell, Colin Russell, Ryan Russell and Grace Goebel.Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 4360 Northlake Blvd, Suite 109, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, or the American Cancer Society (St. Lucie) 3375 20th Street, Suite 100, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
