Edward R. Langel, Sr.

Edward R. Langel, Sr., 81, died March 15, 2008 in Ft Pierce, Florida.Mr. Langel was born in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Ft Pierce in 1939.He operated Langel Brothers Construction Co of Ft Pierce for 30 years. He was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, was in the choir, and for many years worked with St Anastasia’s Fall Festival. He was an active member of Knights of Columbus #3416 in Ft Pierce as well as an avid fisherman.Memorial Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society 2119 S. W. 16th Street Gainesville, FL 32608.Survivors include his sons, Ed Langel, Jr. of Ft Pierce, FL, Richard (Judy) Langel of Orlando, FL, Paul (Cindy) Langel of Ft Pierce, FL, and Matthew (Jeannie) Langel of Ft Pierce, FL; daughters, Sherry Hansen of Port St Lucie, FL and Linda (Donald) Langel of Ft Pierce, FL; brother, Don Langel of Ft Pierce, FL; sister, Mary Ann Langel (Jimmy) Reeves of Ft Pierce, FL; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Langel, second wife, Jean Langel, sons, Bernie, Danny, and David Langel, and brothers, Bill, Jerry, Bob, and John Langel.Services: A visitation will be held Tuesday March 18, 2008 5-8 PM with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. The service will be held on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at 10:00 AM at St Anastasia Catholic Church in Ft Pierce.
