Edwin Diaz

Edwin Diaz, 68, of Port Saint Lucie passed away on July 17, 2016.

Mr. Diaz moved to Port Saint Lucie, Florida in 2005 coming from Queens, New York.

Edwin served proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. A decorated Marine, he received many medals including; the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal, the Combat Action Medal, the National Defense Medal with 1 Star, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Rifle Marksman Badge. Edwin enjoyed fishing, shooting and scuba diving.

Survivors include; wife of 50 years, Genoveva Diaz of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; son, Marcus (Donyale) Diaz of Deer Park, New York; daughter, Eileen Diaz of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; grandchildren, Marcus Diaz, Mark Lindo, Naomi Lindo, Matthew Lindo, Kyle Diaz and Dylan Velazquez; sisters, Maria (John) Jimenez of Sayville, Long Island, New York and Diana Morales of Lexington, South Carolina; brothers, Jose Venus) Diaz and William (Dalgis) Diaz both from Lexington, South Carolina.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 from 4PM to 6PM with a service to start at 6PM at the Haisley Funeral Home Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34984.
