Eileen H. Lane

On Wednesday on November 4th, 2015, Eileen Helen Hulser Lane departed this earth and joined her beloved husband in their heavenly home. After over 90 years, she has finally taken her rest.
Eileen was born to Louise and Jerome Hulser on February 22nd, 1925 in College Point Queens, New York. She went to St. John’s Lutheran Church, where all her children were baptized. She worked during World War II at EDO Aircraft Corporation in College Point, building bomb sights for war planes.
She met Walter Lane while he was on leave from the Army Engineers, where he worked in Panama building air fields. They were married on September 5th, 1943. They had three children; Linda, Kenneth and Dennis before moving to the suburbs of East Meadow, Long Island. Eileen was a dedicated member of Calvary Lutheran Church for over 30 years.
Eileen and Walter sold their home in 1980, moving to Port St. Lucie, Florida for the winters and living on their Yacht in Baldwin Harbor Yacht Club on Long Island in the summers.
She was a Hospital Auxiliary Member at Port Saint Lucie Medical Center for over 25 years. She was a member of Port Saint Lucie Moose Lodge #1236 for over 28 years. She loved going to St. Andrews Lutheran Church on Prima Vista in Port St. Lucie and was member of their senior’s clubs.
She spent her last years living with her son, Dennis and his fiancé, Linda Tucker at their home in Port Saint Lucie and her partner and friend, the family dog, Clyde.
She loved reading her Bible, her Portals of Prayer, and watching “Judge Judy”,” Family Feud”, “Golden Girls” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.”
She is survived six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Saint Andrews Lutheran Church at the end of January.
