Eileen Marie Benes

Eileen (Lee) Marie Benes, 83, died December 4, 2006 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mrs. Benes was born in Floral Park, NY and upon her marriage moved to Buffalo, NY, Wayne, ME, Glens Falls, NY, Stamford, CT and then to Ft. Pierce, FL for the past 30 years.Mrs. Benes proudly served the Navy from 1943-1946. She was a homemaker who was very active in the community, especially in the Roman Catholic Church. She played golf for over 50 years and enjoyed her 5 grandchildren.
Upon retirement, Mrs. Benes, with her husband, Ralph, became a world traveler, completing 8 World Cruises. They experienced nearly every country in the world.Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ralph J. Benes of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Christine Benes of Costa Rica and Stefanie Wappett and husband, John of Queensbury, NY; son, Michael Benes and wife, Cathy of Suamico, WI; 5 grandchildren, Sarah, Greg and Theresa Wappett and Andy & Matthew Benes; sisters, Rosalie Farrell of Kingston, NY and Carol Larcy of St. Augustine, FL and cousin, Catherine Benes of Ft.
