Eleanor Stiller Harris

Eleanor Stiller Harris, 87, died at home October 26, 2006, in Fort Pierce, Florida.Eleanor was born in New York City, New York, and was a resident of Fort Pierce since 1980, coming from White Plains, New York.She was an executive secretary for 19 years for IBM, volunteered at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, was a member of Temple Beth El Israel, where she was active in the Sisterhood. She was also a member of Panther Woods Country Club. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and golf, and was an avid lover of the New York Mets. Above all she was devoted to her family and friends.Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Charles A. Harris of Fort Pierce, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Douglas Barba of Norwich, VT; and two grandchildren, Jenny Harris Barba of San Francisco, CA, and Ryan Douglas Barba of Melrose, MT.Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Beth El Israel Expansion Building Fund, 551 SW Bethany Drive, Port St. Lucie, FL 34986 or to Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
