Eliza “Nan” Macy
Eliza Lou Macy went home to be with the Lord on February 16, 2021 at the age of 63. She passed away surrounded by family in her home after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer. Eliza was born to Richard and Dorothy Atkins (both deceased) in McGraw, New York. She was 1 of 5 children, Roxanna, Zeke (deceased), Jalna (deceased) and Mark. Around the age of 11 her family relocated to Saint Lucie County, Florida. After completing school Eliza met her devoted husband of 40 years, Dennis Macy. Together they had 3 children, Josh, Sarah, and Olivia to which she dedicated herself to, being a stay-at-home mom. In 2005, Dennis and Eliza founded Macy’s Smoked Fish & Dip. In 2012, she took on her greatest role as Nan and was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Lily, Mason, Luke (deceased), Hannah and Josh, Jr. Eliza always welcomed everyone into her home where her hospitality was second to none.
She loved to be surrounded by family and friends and will be remembered by many as the life of the party. Eliza’s passions included vacationing with family and serving the Lord through missions and volunteering at her church.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Family Church on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Visiting hours will be at 3:00 PM followed by the service at 4:00 PM which can also be viewed live stream at gracepsl.org/livestream. A reception will follow at the church.
