Elizabeth (Liz) Margaret Dejongh

Elizabeth (Liz) Margaret (Dunlop) Dejongh, born January 30, 1930 joined eternal life on June 11, 2016, she was 86 years young.

Known as Elma to family and childhood friends, she grew up in Kearny, NJ. Liz modeled in NY at the tender ages of 14-16 years old and attended art school in NY as well.

She is survived by her husband Peter Dejongh. Liz and Pete met at the age of 14 and remained in sweet love all her life. Liz is also survived by her sister Sheila Attanasio of Jupiter Fl, daughter Carol and son-in-law Tom Silva of Douglasville, Ga, son Peter Dejongh and his partner Ann Marie Fiore of Ames Ia, and daughter Nancy Turgeon and her partner, Dan Mooney of Hudson NH. She has 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with 1 great grandchild due in October.

Liz was a compassionate person who found love and forgiveness throughout her life which she shared with family, friends and strangers in need.

Liz’s memorial service will be held on June 24, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Grace Emmanuel Church Port St. Lucie FL.
