Elizabeth Lapenter, 93, died February 15, 2009 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Mrs. Lapenter was born in New York City, New York and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1973 coming from Kinnelon, New Jersey.
She was a secretary for Kinnelon School System, member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church and the church’s Women Club, member of Fort Pierce Art Club. She was an award winning pastel portrait artist.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Michael Lapenter of Ashland, WI and Thomas Andrew Lapenter of Ft. Pierce, FL; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lapenter, and sons, Edward, Jr. and Robert M. Lapenter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Art Association, 223 Avenue A, Downtown Ft. Pierce, FL 34950.
Services: A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 9:30 AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church.
