Elton Dudley Taylor

January 17, 1915 — December 11, 2006

Mrs. Taylor was a native of Washington, NC and moved to Fort Pierce in 1940 after marrying Jack Archie Taylor, a member of one of the founding families of the City. She worked as a professional bookkeeper at S an M Packing Company and was part owner of a catering business. As a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, she was active in Sunday School and United Methodist Women and helped with the church's annual bazaar. After leaving Fort Pierce in 1988, she lived in Brandon, MS and Nashville, TN before moving to Lake Junaluska in 2000.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Jimmy Carr of Lake Junaluska, NC; grandchildren, David Carr, Todd and Susannah Carr, Allison and Matt Dickerson all of Brandon; great-grandchildren Noah Taylor Carr, Taylor McLain Dickerson, with another expected in April; adopted sister, Alice Bellis of Burton, SC; Clifford and Dorothy Taylor of Lake Worth and Tommy and Eleanor Taylor and family of Fort Pierce.Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Junaluska Assembly Foundation, P.O.
