Emmett H. Ward, 77, died April 16, 2008 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.Mr. Ward was born in Cleveland County, North Carolina and moved to Ft. Pierce 58 years ago coming from Shelby, North Carolina.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #250 of Vero Beach serving as the Past Master, member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite. He was an avid reader and also enjoyed collecting guns, woodworking, fishing, and watching westerns. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Ward of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Kenny Ward of Pauls Valley, OK; daughters, Linda Reid of Melbourne, FL, Koeta Lintz of Ft. Pierce, FL and Leta Jenkins of Ft. Pierce, FL; brothers, Carl Ward of Ft. Pierce, FL and Donald Ward of Shelby, NC; sisters, Louise Lancaster of Shelby, NC and Grace Morrow of Williston, FL; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to the Westside Baptist Building Fund, 3361 South Jenkins Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34981.
Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 20, 2008 from 5-8 PM with a Masonic Service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
