Mrs. Sparkman lived in Hardee County from 1970-1999 and was a resident of Okeechobee, Florida.
She was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her daughters, Lertie Stricland of Okeechobee, FL, Cozette Hall of Wauchula, FL; brother, Justin Yates of Basinger, FL; 29 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Aaron Joseph Sparkman and John Martin Strickland, sons, Leslie Strickland and Clarence Sparkman, daughters, Rosezena Walton, Ellen S. Lawrence, Jerline Stokes, brothers, Jim Yates and John Yates, sisters, Lucinda Johnson and Alice Yates.
Services: A service will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Gospel Tabernacle Church. Burial will follow at Fort Green Baptist Church Cemtery in Fort Green, Florida.
