Ernest Guy Taylor

November 8, 1921 — May 6, 2012

E. G. “Buddy” Taylor, 90, died May 6, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Taylor was born in Madison County, Florida and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1947 coming from Jacksonville, Florida.

He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII under General George S. Patton as a Gunner Artillery. He collected antiques and was an avid gardener.

Survivors include his wife, Violet Taylor of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Rice W. Howard of Pounding Mill, VA and Raymond Taylor of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Carolyn J. Taylor of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Homer Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, E.V. “ Buck” Taylor of Cocoa Beach, FL, Ulis Taylor of Lake City, FL, Roger Taylor of Jacksonville, FL, and Jimmy Taylor of Middleburg, FL; sisters, Evelyn Scott of Ft. Pierce, FL, Daisy Brown, Gloria Jarrell and Marcel Conwell all of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Doris Lynn and Beatrice Crews, brothers, Ernest S. Taylor, Jr. and Carl Taylor.

Memorial contributions may be to the Salvation Army, 3629 US Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.

Services: A gathering will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 10-11 AM with a service to follow at 11:00 AM at Haisley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
