Mrs. Estell Elizabeth Dulin Bretherick-Morris of Fort Pierce, Florida and Melrose, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. Born on December 29, 1924 in Earle, Arkansas, Mrs. Bretherick moved with her family in 1959 to Wauchula and made her home permanently in Florida.
Mrs. Bretherick worked as an insurance underwriter and clerk, and actively served as a member of Eliam Baptist Church in Melrose, Florida and Westside Baptist Church, Fort Pierce.
She was a faithful servant to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in every stage of her life, remembered for her loving concern for others and her constant faith.
Mrs. Bretherick is survived by her four precious children, Dixie Jenkins and Beth (Elmer) McGee of Fort Pierce; William (Barbara) Bretherick of Waycross, Georgia; and Stan (Tammy) Bretherick of Braselton, Georgia; a sister, Audrey Morris of Cordova, Tennessee; and a brother, George (Bytha) Dulin of Greers Ferry, Arkansas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Joe (Wesla) Jenkins of Vero Beach; Michelle (David) Felix, Leigh Bretherick, and Lisa Bretherick of Fort Pierce; Chrissy (Andy) Coor of Wilmington, North Carolina; Jenny Bretherick of Gainesville, Florida; and Jana Bretherick of Braselton, Georgia; eight great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Jenkins and J.T. Jenkins of Vero Beach; Jeremy Goins, Liam Felix and Landon Felix of Fort Pierce; Jessie (Dana) Smith of East Brewton, Alabama; Jase Bretherick of Braselton, Georgia; and Josie Coor of Wilmington, North Carolina; and one great-great granddaughter, Alayah Smith of East Brewton, Alabama; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bretherick was pre-deceased by her parents, Evie Estelle and Aubrey Dulin; husbands Rudolph “Rudy” Bretherick (1945-1979) and Howard C. Morris (1993-2009); a granddaughter, Tina Jenkins; and a son-in-law, Doyle Jenkins.
The family will receive friends at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 17, 2015, followed by a memorial service at 11:00. Interment in Hawthorne Cemetery, Hawthorne, Florida, will take place at a later date.
