Esther Gloria Rodriguez

Esther Gloria Rodriguez, born on April 9, 1939, in Lares, Puerto Rico, passed away peacefully on November 25,2024, under the care of Calvary Care hospice in Bronx, NY. She was a cherished matriarch whose warmth and love touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Esther was a family-oriented person who made everyone feel welcomed in her home, especially during the holidays, creating lasting memories shared by her loved ones. She found joy in simple pleasures, engaging in cooking for her family, playing dominos with friends and family, solving word puzzles, and watching novellas and other TV shows. Music was also a significant part of her life, providing both comfort and joy.

Throughout her life, Esther demonstrated an enduring faith as a devoted Catholic as a member of St. Barbara's Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY. Her spiritual dedication served as an inspiration to her family, instilling values of love and compassion in those around her.

Esther is survived by her beloved children: Olga Concepcion of Brooklyn, NY; Gladys Vidal of Brooklyn, NY; Jose Alberto Concepcion of Port St. Lucie, FL; Carmen Rosario of Brooklyn, NY; and Jose Angel Concepcion of Port St. Lucie, FL. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her spirit.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Ana Rodriguez; her devoted father, Agustin Soto; her brother, Ismael Rodriguez; and her brother, Angel Luis Soto.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life and share the love she so generously gave throughout her years. Esther's memory will forever be cherished by her loving family and friends, whose lives were enriched by her presence. 

A visitation will be held on Wednesday. December 4, 2024 from 2PM to 7PM at the Haisley Tribute Center 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd Port St. Lucie, FL 34984. A Mass will be held on December 5, 2024, at 11 AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church 290 NW Prima Vista Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery
