Ethel L. Loew

Ethel Lynn Loew (nee Lidman) passed away peacefully at home on April 19, 2023 at the age of 82.  Loving and devoted wife of Robert “Bob” Loew, caring and supportive sister of Arlene Snyder, adoring and thoughtful Aunt to Andrea Erlichman (Neil), Mark Snyder (Allison) and Great Aunt to Lauren, Jake and Jesse.

Ethel was super smart, kind, shy at times, a savvy card player, a good listener with an awesome memory and never missed sending a card for birthdays and holidays to let you know you were on her mind. She and Bob shared their love of Philadelphia sports: watching their Phillies, Eagles and Sixers. They both loved Elvis, going to the race track and when they were younger they enjoyed playing racquetball, going to Phillies games, Las Vegas and down to the Jersey shore to the casinos in AC. They also shared a love of animals and their cats were an essential part of their life. 

Following her retirement in 2003, she and Bob moved to Florida where she made wonderful friends, going to the pool, often celebrating birthdays and other milestones together.  She loved running bingo games, she made great lifelong friends while playing canasta, poker and Mahjong.
