Evalyn Loughlin passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.
She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Evalyn was born in Peoria, IL on September 10, 1927. She moved to Pensacola, Florida when she was seven and also spent her childhood in Coral Gables and West Palm Beach. She attended Palm Beach High graduating in 1945. She attended Palm Beach Junior College 1948- 1950 and the University of Florida 1950-1952. She graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. She married Francis ‘Gig’ Loughlin in August of 1952 and celebrated 64 years of marriage. She has four children: Bill, Wayne, Lyn, and MaryJo. She is blessed with eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She taught at Aunt Jeans’ Kindergarten, White City Elementary, and Port St. Lucie Elementary. She retired after teaching for twenty years.
She was an active member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and was involved in many activities. She was a volunteer for the St. Andrew’s Academy, a Sunday School teacher, a vestry member, a member of the Daughters’ of the King guild, an office volunteer, and coordinator of the Sunday Coffee hour. She had been a member since 1956.
Evalyn leaves a legacy of love. A love of family, friends, travel and a full life.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on April 1, 2017 at 2:00pm at the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church located at 210 South Indian River Dr, Ft. Pierce.
