Evelyn M. Eakins, 79, died December 25, 2007 in Vero Beach, Florida.Mrs. Eakins was born in Chelsea, Michigan and moved to Ft. Pierce 24 years ago coming from Detroit, Michigan.
Evelyn retired from K-Mart Corporation as a food manager after 27 years. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach and was a loving mother, grandmother and companion.
Survivors include her companion, Fred Anderson of Ft. Pierce, FL; son, Larry G. Eakins of Royal Oak, MI; daughters, Glenda J. Mullins of Alpharetta, GA and Janice M. Glasson of Stuart, FL; sister, Virginia McDonald of Dearborn, MI; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Eakins, son, Patrick K. Eakins and mother, Cora Sullivan.Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.Services: A memorial service will be held on December 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church, Vero Beach.
