Evelyn R. Whaley, 83, died October 12, 2017 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mrs. Whaley was born in Waycross, Georgia and moved to Fort Pierce in 1955 coming from Wallace, North Carolina.
Evelyn worked for the St. Lucie County Council on Aging from 1986-2001 and was a member of Sunrise Tabernacle Church, Fort Pierce. She was a listener, prayer warrior and was very observant. She was a friend and mother to many and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Mitch (Marilyn) Whaley of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Dorothy McEwan of Fort Pierce, FL and Pearly Hampton of Clemmons, NC; brother, Mose Sanders of Fort Pierce, FL; 4 grandchildren, Amber Monetta of Fort Pierce, FL, Alyssa O’Dell of Cartersville, GA, Alan O’Dell of Fort Pierce, FL and Jacob Whaley of Fort Pierce, FL; 3 great-grandchildren, Gianni Monetta, Arianna Monetta, and Autumn O’Dell all of Fort Pierce, FL.

Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 1-2 PM with the service to follow at 2:00 PM at Sunrise Tabernacle Church, Fort Pierce.
