Fadil “Freddy” Novak died November 12, 2021 after a brief illness. He was born April 28, 1947 in Italy, raised in Syria and immigrated to the US in the mid-sixties, living in the metro New York area and moving to Florida in 2007. He was the owner of Trio Dental Lab of Vero Beach.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years Rodica (Rusu) Novak, his son, Gil Novak and wife Bethanne of Massachusetts, his brother Ahmed Osmanovic and wife Milena, his sister Saima Halac both of New Jersey, his brother Ashraf Secerovic of Syria, his nieces Sandra Osmanovic and husband Enes Hajderpasic, and Sabrina Halac, nephews Damir Osmanovic and Dennis Halac all of New Jersey, and grandchildren Jennifer Novak of Maine and Jacob Novak of Massachusetts. He was pre-deceased by his bother Hussein Secerovic.
There will be days when you share a joke with a friend, and then add with a sigh “Freddy told me that one.”
There will be days in April when you want to hear “Happy Birthday, Freddy!” one more time.
There will be days when you just want to hear his raspy voice – just to say “hello” and “how are you, sweetheart?”
There will be holidays and important events where you feel the emptiness, wishing he was still there to see what we become.
There will be days when you think you hear his hearty laughter, and will turn hoping to see him again, only to be reminded that he is no longer there.
But he is with everyone he touched in his life, with his family, with those he helped, with those he told a good joke to, and with those he raised a glass with. Freddy loved life, and we owe it to him, and to ourselves, to remember and cherish that life and the exuberance with which he lived it. Živeli.
A celebration of life will be held December 4th, 2021, from 3:00-5:00pm at Haisley Funeral Home.
