Fay Rappold Lowe, 84, passed away March 29, 2020 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
She was born in Hempstead, LI, NY on March 12, 1936 and moved to Fort Pierce when she was ten years old. She attended White City Elementary and graduated from St. Lucie County High School in 1953 (she would get so aggravated when obituaries stated it was Fort Pierce High School, going so far as to take her yearbook to Rick Haisley to prove a point.) She was Lutheran by faith and attended Trinity Lutheran Church.
She started her medical career at Fort Pierce Memorial Hospital and continued on to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center where she worked for 32 years. She was a medical transcriptionist in Pathology, Cardiology, and Radiology.
An avid reader, instilling a deep love of learning in her children and grandchildren. She loved playing cards and games and never let her children or grandchildren win, unless they earned it and taught them not to cheat.
Survivors include her two daughters, Laura Jones (Mike) of Lakeland, FL and Ann Marie Pierce (Craig) of Fort Pierce, FL. Three adored grandchildren; Crystal Jones (her Cookie) of Cassellberry, FL, David Pierce (her Little Guy) of Fort Pierce, FL and Pamela Brass (JC) (her Tuffy Tiger) of Lakeland, FL. The light of her life at the end was her great-granddaughter, Everly Quinn Brass of Lakeland, FL (The Cupcake). One sister, Debra Turner-Bunnell (Jeff) of Vero Beach, FL.
An inurnment will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at a later date.
