Pete Rufo, age 84, died on November 19, 2009 in Fort Pierce, FL. He was born in Lorain, OH and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1975.
He was a Navy Veteran of WWII, and was a retired Merchant Marine. He was a business man in the tri-county area since 1960. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Andrea Rufo of Port St. Lucie; his sons, Rick Rufo of Newberry, FL, Barry Rufo of Stuart, FL, Mark Rufo of Stuart, FL; his daughters, Davina Rucker of Okeechobee, FL, Kathryn Guinn of Port St. Lucie, FL, Gaye Lynn Bostwick of Okeechobee, FL; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Flowers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
A celebration of Pete’s life will be held at a later date. Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
