Flora Peeples Morris, 100, of Fort Pierce, passed on Friday, November 9, 2018 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Hospital.
She was born February 6, 1918 in Ocala, Florida to Samuel and Azzalee Peeples. There was five boys and six girls and one adopted boy.
Flora worked as a Nurses Aide for many years in Norwalk, Connecticut until her retirement in 1986, She then moved to Fort Pierce, Florida.
Flora Morris was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses attending the Kingdom Hall on 3535 Deberry Road, Fort Pierce, Florida. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, knitting, and cooking and baking. But most of all, she loved playing Kingdom songs and reading and listening to the Bible.
Flora is survived by her adopted brother, Gene Patrick Peeples; son, Joseph Michael Morris and her stepson, Clarence Morris; grandchildren, Sandra Joyce Fuller, Joann Jones, Flora Peeples Harriel (Eugene Happy) and Carrie Paulk (Ben) Graves; 17 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Morris, daughter, Bernice Peeples Paulk, grandsons, Larry Allen Coleman, Sr. and Stanley Alexander Jones, and granddaughter, Orie Goodin Jacques and son-in-law, Eddie Bee Paulk.
Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
