Florence Madeline Bergden, 92, of Fort Pierce, Florida passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017.
Florence was born in Rutland, Vermont on November 1, 1924; the daughter of William and Almira Dansro. She worked hard for many years to provide for her family. She worked at a paper factory in Irving, Massachusetts and at a nursing home is Watertown, Massachusetts. She spent many years of her retirement volunteering as a Pink Lady for Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and was a long time member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Fort Pierce. Florence was a loving and supportive mother and friend. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her children: Nancy (Peter) Plasson of Vero Beach, Florida; Leslie “Billy” Pomainville of Templeton, Massachusetts; Carol (John) Duarte of Fort Pierce, Florida; Cynthia (Wesley) Robarge, of Corinth, New York; Paul (Wendy) Pomainville, of Hudson Falls, New York; Dorene (John) Strakose of Newnan, Georgia and Morene Patterson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her first husband Leslie Edward Pomainville, whom she married in February 1945, until his death in May 1977; her second husband, Eric Bergden, whom she married July 1980, until his death in June 1982; brothers, William Dansro, Joseph “Sherman” Dansro, Robert Dansro and sister Mildred Dansro. In 1983, Florence met Stanley Czepiel, Jr., with whom she had a loving relationship with until his passing in February 2017.

A visitation will be held at Haisley Funeral Home in Fort Pierce, FL on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. with celebration of life to follow at 5 p.m.
