Florence Maud Newman, 101, went home to be with her Lord on October 25, 2016 in Port St. Lucie, Florida, surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers. Mrs. Newman
(Mama) was born in St. James, Jamaica and moved to Florida in 1996.
She was a devoted Christian with unwavering faith in the Lord. She was a great mother, loved her family unconditionally and was constantly in prayer for them. She showed us how to love and how to live with humility and grace.
She is survived by her 9 children, Enid (Wint), Huntley, Norma (Smith), Ronald (Luanna), Ralph (Cynthia), Paul (Veta), Edward (Beverley), Danny (Vivene) and Herbert (Sharon), 25 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, of fifty nine years.

Services: Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 11:00 am-12:00 pm with a service to follow at 12:00 pm at Grace Presbyterian Church, 1875 NW Britt Road, Stuart, FL 34994. Interment will take place in Jamaica, West Indies.
