Floyd Eugene Webb, Sr. 87, died May 31, 2015, in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Webb was born in Marion, Ohio, and was a resident of Fort Pierce for the past 15 years coming from Boca Raton, where he resided for 38 years.
Floyd was a veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII, was an Eagle Scout, retired after 35 years from the US Postal Service in Marion, Ohio and Boca Raton, FL serving as a clerk and carrier, had a passion for flying airplanes, was active his entire life in church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and singing in the choir. He enjoyed playing the violin and spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a very kind, humble, and gracious man who always lived his Christian faith.
Memorial contributions may be made in Floyd’s memory to the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, June Rose Blakenship Webb of Fort Pierce, FL; sons, Floyd E. Webb, Jr. (Sherry) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Phillip A. Webb, Sr., (Gail) of Canton, NC; daughter, Kaye L. Webb Green (Martin “Bo”) of Vero Beach, FL; four grandchildren: Jennifer Webb Munsterteiger, Phillip Alan Webb, Jr. “PJ”, Austin Green and Logan Green; five great-grandchildren: Syierra, Kayla and Tyler Munsterteiger and Avery and Aubrey Webb. He was preceded in death by his brother, George M. Webb, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 5-6 PM with a service to follow at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
