Frances Edith Hocker McNees
July 24, 1920 – March 10, 2018
Frances lived her life loving and serving her Lord Jesus Christ and her family. She was born in Alexandria, Indiana and had one brother, Robert Hocker, deceased; and one sister, Jane Ann Johnson, who lives in Summitville, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Inez Benedict Hocker and her husband, Herbert Keith McNees, who went to be with Jesus on November 27, 2007. Frances and Herbert have 5 children; 14 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Herbert and Frances lived in Alexandria, Indiana where 4 of their 5 children, Marilyn, Barbara, Jack and Peggy, were born. The family lived there until 1952, when they moved to Lake Worth, Florida. Then, in 1954, the family moved to Fort Pierce, Florida, where Carol was born. Frances was very busy and energetic in caring for her family and keeping up with all their activities. She loved being involved in church and volunteered her services in various functions. She was very generous with helping others in need. Frances loved reading her Bible every day, and in her lifetime, completed reading it all the way through 114 times. Upon her passing she was well into number 115. For many years she attended Sunrise Tabernacle Church and weekly prayer meetings at First Assembly of God, but 3 years ago began attending Christ Family Church with one of her daughters. Frances was instrumental in bringing up her children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, for which they are all eternally grateful. In her younger years, she loved traveling around the country and to Canada with her family. She also took a cruise to Alaska and went to the Holy Land with Herbert and her daughters Barbara and Peggy.
“We miss you, MomMom, and look forward to the day that we can again be reunited as a family in Heaven. We know you were looking forward to the day that you could meet your Lord and walk in the “garden” with Him and “talk” with him. We’ll see you there some day, too!”
Signed,
Your Loving Family
