Frances Stanley (Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother) of Okeechobee County passed away surrounded by loved ones on February 27, 2010.
Born in Ft. Pierce, Florida and raised in Palm Beach County where she and her husband, Hughy Stanley, raised their family. Frances was married to Hughy Stanley on January 1, 1976. Hughy, (Oppy), has been blessed to travel and experience life for 34 years with the most amazing woman. He has not only lost his wife but his best friend.
In addition to her husband, Hughy, she is survived by two brothers, Portus (Jean) Mellette, Ray (Linda) Mellette; four daughters, Frankie (Dan) Groover, Randi (Howard) Drew, Billie Jo ( Bob) Galbraith, and Jennifer Slater; one son, Chuck (Jackie) Stanley; 13 grandchildren, Misti, Amanda, Ashley, Dan Jr., Mindy, Robin, Ricky, Peggie Jo, Samantha, Amber, Brian and Jason; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Frances loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, and gambling with her friends and family. Her nights were filled with laughter, family, friends, Yahtzee, Bonkos, Parcheesi and good down-home fun. She will be missed on the back of the pontoon boat with cane pole in hand. We love you!!
