Frank Brova, Jr., 76, of Ft. Pierce, FL died on June 23, 2010 at the Broadmoor Assisted Living in Ft. Pierce, FL. He was born in Cokeburg, PA on June 15, 1934 and moved to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1979 coming from Scenery Hill, PA.
A Veteran of the Korean War, Frank served in the United States Army and graduated from California State Teacher’s College of Pennsylvania. Frank moved from Scenery Hill, PA to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1979. While in Pennsylvania, he was General Manger of Scott Motor Company and was recognized as a Master in Volkswagen of America, Inc. Sales Guild. While in Florida, he was employed by Ft. Pierce Toyota, co-founded Family Furniture Warehouse in Port St. Lucie, FL worked for Bill Shultz Chevrolet, Coastal Automotive in Vero and sold pools for A&G Pools in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Frank was an avid golfer, boater, and championship racquetball player. After retirement, he spent his time landscaping and enjoyed the outdoors. He was a Charter Member of the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge in Port. St. Lucie. He served for 2 years as President of the Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania Lions Club and 2 years as Commodore for Ten Mile Yacht Club.
Frank was the son of Frank Brova Sr. and Caterina Brova of Scenery Hill, PA. He is survived by his wife Martha Ann Brova; brothers Gabriel, Joseph, Victor and Louis Brova of Scenery Hill, PA; sister Margaret Adamsky of Eatontown, NJ; son Gregory Brova and his wife Julie of Hobe Sound, FL; son Jon Brova of Port St. Lucie, FL; daughter Beth Wuycheck and her husband Dan of Ft. Pierce, FL and Frank “Chip” Brova III and his wife Jennifer of Port St. Lucie, FL. His grandchildren include Nicole Brova Drost of Jensen Beach, FL; Mario Brova of Ellsworth, PA and Stephen and Dana Wuycheck of Ft. Pierce, FL. He is predeceased by his grandson, David Wuycheck.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 2 from 5-7pm at Haisley Funeral Home in Ft. Pierce, FL. Memorial donations may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 2500 Virginia Ave., Suite 202, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981.
Frank will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
