FRANK JAMES LAMB
Frank James Lamb passed away peacefully on November 6, 2022. He was born April 10, 1946 in Massillon, OH. He was a long-time resident of Lake Worth, FL, and spent his last 12 years in Ft. Pierce, FL.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sandra Lamb (nee Sparks), son and daughter-in-law Brent and Terri (nee DiMeglio) Lamb of Seneca, SC, step children Stacy Hess of Winter Haven, FL and Bradley Von Husen of Palm Coast, FL, grandsons Branden Lamb of Seneca, SC, and Dylen Lamb of Sebastian, FL, step granddaughter and great granddaughter Samantha Hess and Sofia Jackson of Winter Haven, FL, sister and brother-in-law Debra (nee Lamb) and Ron Kane of Ft. Pierce, FL and cousin-like-a-brother George Lamb of Ft. Pierce, FL.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents Clair and Theresa (nee Varga) Lamb.
He was a 1964 graduate of Lake Worth High School, Lake Worth, FL where he was a quarterback and baseball pitcher. His significant accomplishments in both earned him a double scholarship to the University of Miami.
Frank served in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968 in the Signal Corps. After successfully completing Officer Candidate School, he was promoted to 1st Lieutenant. He served one year in Viet Nam where he was charged with establishing and leading signal sites. After his return to the US, he was a Signal Corp trainer at Ft. Gordon, GA and West Point.
Frank’s professional career centered on sales including sales training for companies such as Citicorp and other real estate and mortgage lenders. His final career accomplishment was his favorite. He developed and successfully promoted Outdoor Florida Magazine (under the auspices of the Lake Worth Herald) which became recognized as a go-to source for sportsmen throughout southeast Florida.
Frank was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with his son and friends. He was also a musician and played in rock ‘n roll bands in his early 20’s. He still enjoyed playing his bass guitar and singing throughout his life.
Frank was a staunch supporter of disabled Veterans Associations and the American Legion.
A Military Honors ceremony will be held at the National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL on December 2, 2022 at 2:30 PM followed by a Celebration of Life.
