Frank Peter Wolf, Jr. peacefully passed away on Aug 20, 2012 at the age of 87. He was born in Ft. Pierce on April 11, 1925 to Marie Jacquin and Frank Peter Wolf. Frank was one of 5 children. Preceding him in death were 2 sisters, Vivian Baumker and Patricia, brother Richard, and his wife of 62 years, Joan.
Frank spent his youth in Ft. Pierce, graduating from St. Anastasia High School in 1943. Soon after, he joined the military and spent 35 serving his country, including WWII and Vietnam. After retiring from the Air Force, he moved back to Ft. Pierce and worked for several years at the Veteran’s Administration.
In 1945, Frank married Joan Marie Shuey and together they raised 8 children:
Dollie Ludwig, Christine Varanelli, Brooke Wolf, Mickie Waters, Cynthia Stoklosa,
Kathy Diaz, Bobbie Brown Betts, and Judy Hainebach.
He also leaves 23 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.
While living in Tampa, Frank and Joan joined a square dancing club where they made many friends. They also enjoyed traveling around the country in their motor home, visiting family and friends.
The two most important things in Frank’s life were his family and his church, a devotion instilled in him by his parents. He served on the church board and was a long time Eucharistic Minister. The loving and tender care that he gave to Joan, the love of his life, is to be admired. One of the greatest joys in his life was being surrounded by his family and he will be dearly missed.
