Fred G. Gardner, 95, died on September 19th in Ft. Pierce.He was born in Mount Moriah, Missouri, and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1937, coming from St. Joseph, MissouriHe operated Gardner Radio and Appliance Co. until the mid 1960s. He was an adjunct instructor at Indian River Community College for a time. He held a Real Estate license and a HAM radio license. He worked with the US Navy at Harvard University and in Key West, Florida at the beginning of WWII, and later served in the Army Air Corps. He was active in the Lions Club for many years, a charter member of the Pelican Yacht Club, belonged to Toastmasters, Great Books Club, and Community Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Vineese Gardner. Survivors include his children Richard Gardner and wife, Judy, of Ft. Pierce; Dr. Alice Harmon and husband, Richard, of Gainesville, Florida; and grandson Howard Gardner of Tampa.
