Fred Summerlin, 74, died in Fort Pierce, FL on February 26, 2007. He was born and raised in Fort Pierce, FL.He was a retired painting contractor in Fort Pierce for 50 years. He was a member and usher at Westside Baptist Church. Fred loved to fish and hunt.He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Maggie Summerlin of Fort Pierce; his sons and daughters-in law, Marshall & Kathy Summerlin of Vero Beach, FL, Paul & Janice Summerlin of Lakeland, FL, Gary & Patty Clanton of Fort Pierce, FL, Mike & Debbie Clanton of Holiday, FL, Jack & Kathy Clanton of Orange Park, FL, and Chris Powell also of Florida; his daughters, Terri Taylor of Fort Pierce, FL, Dale vanderLugt of Gainesville, FL; his sister and brother-in-law, Polly & Donald Moore of Fort Pierce, 16 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.
