Fred W. Carter, 86, of Fort Pierce, Florida died December 12, 2002. Mr. Carter was born in Naylor, Georgia and came to Fort Pierce from Hialeah, Florida.He was a Ground Crew Supervisor for Eastern Airlines in Miami for 35 years. He was an Army veteran, serving in WWII, 124th Infantry. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church, where he served as an Usher.Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Helen V. Carter, Fort Pierce, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbi and David Stone, Medina, Ohio; daughter, Cathy Constantine, Miami, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Cheryl Ingersoll, Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Ethel Connell, Maryland; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Smith Carter and sister, Louise Lounsbrough.Friends may call Sunday, December 15, 2002, 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Haisley-Hobbs Funeral Home. Services will be Monday, December 16, 2002, 11:00 A.M. at Westside Baptist Church with Dr. Dale K. Ingersoll officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
