Freddy O. Campbell

Frederick Owen “Freddy” Campbell, 83, died April 10, 2025 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Campbell was born on November 3, 1941 in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to Fort Pierce, Florida in 2014 coming from Lake Worth.

Freddy went to St. George’s Boys College in Jamaica. He was a professional musician by trade, who played the drums and was a self-taught keyboard and guitar player. In his career he played with many famous Jamaican artists. He was also privileged to have traveled throughout the West Indies playing at various venues. He was a practical joker at heart and a great family man. He loved his wife, Sunshine from first sight and this love gave them a life-time marriage of sixty-two years.

Survivors include his daughters, Roxanne Shepherd and Mieka Campbell both of Fort Pierce, FL; sisters, Audrey Pahlic of New Smyrna Beach, Barbara Abrahams and Cheryl Hepburn Armstrong both of Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Grandchildren, Tatiana Campbell and Julian Broomfield.

Great-grandchildren, Destiny, Brianna, Malykai, Jayden, Mason, Julianna, AJ, and KJ and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Campbell; mother Violet du Quesnay; brother George Campbell; and grandson Jonathan Campbell.

Services: A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10AM to 10:30AM with a Prayer Service to be held at 10:45AM at the Haisley Funeral Chapel 3015 Okeechobee Rd Ft. Pierce, FL 34947.
