Frederick Valentine Blakeslee, Sr., 79, died Dec. 15, 2012, at his home, Fort Pierce.
He was born in Blakeslee, PA, and lived in Fort Pierce for 52 years.
Before retirement, he sold International Harvester equipment for Minton Equipment and finished his working years on the staff of St. Anastasia Catholic School.
He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving during the Korean conflict.
He attended St. Anastasia Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Josephine Blakeslee of Fort Pierce; son Fred Blakeslee, Jr.; daughters, Sandra Matula, Nancy Hopper, and Theresa Goldstein, all of Fort Pierce; and 8 grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Blakeslee, brothers, Austin Blakeslee, Jr., Jerry Blakeslee, Franklin Blakeslee, sisters, Betty Stenson and Clarissa Altemose.

Services: Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dec. 17, 2012 at Haisley Funeral Home. A wake service will be at 6:00 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 18, 2012 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church. Burial Service at 10:00 a.m. Dec. 19, 2012 at White City Cemetery.
