Garret James Russakis, 17 years old, was the son of Julie & Greg Russakis born on December 19, 1999 at Indian River Memorial Hospital, Vero Beach Florida. Garret attended St. Anastasia School and John Carroll High School, in Fort Pierce, FL, and then to Indian River State College. He graduated High School at IRSC in June and was currently a college student at IRSC.
Those who knew Garret knew of his intense love of the outdoors. He was a modern day country boy. He loved fishing, hunting, the ocean and working on the ranch with his Pops. He was a committed son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to so many. The love he had for his family was unconditional. He carried a heart of gold with a wit to match. He was a good boy – a southern gentleman full of charm and laughter. We had to say goodbye to this precious young man much too soon.
