Gary L. Evans

Gary L. Evans, 75, passed away peacefully at Treasure Coast Hospice on September 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was born on January 12, 1947 in Marion, Indiana. He graduated from Marion High School and went on to enlist in the United States Marine Corps in 1966. Gary was both self-employed and owned several businesses, including Evans Auto Parts and Salvage in Marion, Indiana, Yankee Enterprises and Convenience Stores in Fort Pierce and Port St. Lucie, Florida, Turfmaster John Deere in Melbourne and Cocoa Beach, Florida, and Commerce Park Storage in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Gary was a member of the Saint Lucie Catholic Church, Port St Lucie, FL, Marion, Indiana BPOE #0195, the Fort Pierce Rotary, and the Marion Jaycees. He was an avid golfer and he loved playing tennis, fishing, and woodworking.

Gary is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dianna M. Evans; Mother Bonnie V. Evans; daughters, Jennifer (Ed) Laszewicki of Port St. Lucie and Arienne (Tony) Brown of Fort Mill, South Carolina; granddaughters, Madison (Jonathan) Tully and grandsons; Connor and Jackson Brown of Fort Mill, South Carolina and Austin and Andrew Laszewicki of Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, Wm. E. Evans and his sister, Sherry Evans.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida.

A gathering will be held on October 13, 2022 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM followed by a service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, 3015 Okeechobee Road, Fort Pierce, Florida 34947.
