Gary “Big G” Turek, 66, died June 5, 2021 in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Turek was born in Dearborn, Michigan and resided in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Gary graduated from Cody High School in Michigan and loved bowling and umpiring. He worked as a highway maintenance tech coordinator.
Survivors include his son, Cody Turek of Robbinsdale, MN; ex-wife, Claudia Turek of Port St. Lucie, FL; stepson, Nicholas Slade of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Brennan Slade, Kyla Slade, Alizah Merlino, Isabel Merlino, Jackson Merlino; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Merlino; sister-in-law, Amanda Turek; brother, Dennis Turek; and nephew, Austin Turek.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Turek, mother, Mary Turek and brother, Robert Turek.
Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 3:00-4:00 PM with a service to follow at 4:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
