Gene Smith

Gene Smith, 84, died July 2, 2012 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Smith was born in Ephrata, Pennsylvania and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1993 coming from Staten Island, New York.

Gene was a Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He retired from American Can Company as plant manager. He was a Lithographer for the sheet metal industry traveling around the world setting up new plants. He was also the owner/operator of an auto service & repair shop in Brooklyn, New York. He loved volunteering his time to the local community and was a member of the Lakewood Park United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughter, Alicia Losey of Land O’ Lakes, FL; brother, Lester Smith of PA; sisters, Violet Richards, Arlene Allwein and Erma Smith all of PA; former wife, Dorothy Gwen Smith; and 5 grandchildren.
