George W. Chitty

George Wayne Chitty, 70, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacefully on September 15, 2023.

George was born in Moultrie, Georgia on October 7, 1952 to George Jefferson Chitty and Grace Marguerite Cannady. After high school, George joined the United States Army.

George also lived in the Cayman Islands for a time. After retiring from Publix, George was a building contractor, working for Adam Homes.

He will be greatly missed by all he worked for and with.  

Survivors include beloved wife and best friend, Linda M. Chitty; stepdaughter, Melisa (Bruce) McAdam and step-grandchildren, Stephanie Davis, Morgan McAdam and Trevor McAdam, as well as step-great-grandchild, Anna Davis. He will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law, Lillian Grabinski, and sisters-in-law, Sue Carson and Jeannie Grabinski. George will be missed greatly by brothers, Ronald (Debbie) Chitty, Donnie Woodcock and Kenneth (Sue) Chitty and sisters, Brenda Trimboli, Judy Mitchell, Rebecca (William) Gregory and Marie (Mike) Sanders. He was predeceased by his mother, Grace Marguerite Woodcock (Cannady), father, George Jefferson Chitty, step-father, Harvell Garnett Woodcock, and father-in-law, Stanley Grabinski; sister, Teresa Lucille Chitty, Brothers-in-law, James Mitchell and Darrel J. Trimboli; nephew, Harold Chitty and niece, Marlena Marie Stone; as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members .

Services will be held privately by the family.
