George E. Fisher

George E. “Smokey” Fisher, 81, died June 20, 2009 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Mr. Fisher was born in Manchester, New Hampshire and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1953 coming from Stuart, Florida.
He worked for the A&P Food Stores for 44 years, retiring as Manager of the Fort Pierce Store in 1994. He was a member of the Southside Christian Church, Ft. Pierce, Loyal Order of Moose #248, Fort Pierce Elks Lodge #1520, and also volunteered at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center for the last 14 years.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Fisher of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Brenda Kebeck of Ft. Pierce, FL and Carol Pritcher of Port St. Lucie, FL; and sister, Arlene Conaway of Contoocook, NH. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Fisher.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Southside Christian Church, 3822 Edwards Road, Fort Pierce, FL 34982.
Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 from 5-8 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A service will be held at Southside Christian Church on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park.
