George Gergora, 94, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020 in Port St. Lucie, FL.
George was born in Providence, RI on October 17, 1925 to Henim & Hazel Gergora.
George attended Rhode Island School of Pharmacy. He was the owner of Plantation Pit Barbeque, Branding Iron and Dixie Catering all in the greater Miami area.
He loved to dance, go on cruises, play games and cards, cook, watch college football, play pool volleyball, play tennis, and most importantly spend time with his family and write poems about them.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Gergora, daughters; Georgann Gergora of Port St. Lucie, FL., Gaye Folsom of Ocala, FL., sons; Ed Gervais of Port St. Lucie, FL., Rudy Gervais of Orlando, FL.; 11 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henim & Hazel Gergora; brother, David Gergora; sisters, Catherine Matthews, Mary Caprario, Alice Edwards and son, David Gergora.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 1:00PM at Woodlawn Park Cemetery in Miami, FL.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Haisley Tribute Center, 2041 SW Bayshore Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL.
