George M. Hanna, 87, died July 6, 2008 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.Mr. Hanna was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island and moved to Port St. Lucie in 1959 coming from Miami, Florida.
He was a founding member of St. Lucie Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie, Charter Member of the Port St. Lucie Lions Club, 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus of Port St. Lucie, Owner/Operator of Hanna Tile Company of Florida for 40 years, Veteran of U.S. Coast Guard serving during WWII.Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Cartee of Port St. Lucie, FL, Carol Webb of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Diane Hanna of Port St. Lucie, FL; sisters, Delia Hanna of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Margaret Hargreaves of Pawtucket, RI; grandchildren, Jennifer Moore of Port St. Lucie, FL, Matthew Fleming of Tampa, FL, Natalie Densmore of Jacksonville, FL, Joshua Webb of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ian Hussey of Boone, NC, Leeanne Hussey of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Kyle Hussey of Port St. Lucie, FL; great-grandchild, Grace Fleming of Tampa, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose.Memorial contributions may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34997.Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 5-7 PM with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM at Haisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 9:30 AM at St. Lucie Catholic Church. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
