George F. Sloane, 84, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida passed away January 25, 2019 in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.
George was born on April 21, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts to Richard and Eugenia Sloane. He moved with his family to Port Saint Lucie, Florida 15 years ago from Syracuse, New York.
George worked for Syracuse Central as a Bus Driver and founded Driver’s Club Association. He was a hard worker, whom loved his family, cooking, fishing in Syracuse and get-togethers. He was also an avid poker player.
Survivors include wife of 47 years, Marilyn A. Sloane of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; sons, Anthony (Erin) Sloane of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, Michael (Megan) Scott of Vero Beach, Florida, and William (Jocelyn) Scott of Port Saint Lucie, Florida; daughters, Roxanne (Isaac) Johnson of Fort Pierce, Florida and Sondra Scott of Syracuse, New York; grandchildren, Andre Baptista, Miguel Baptista, Fernando Baptista, Julia Sloane, Meagann Dempsey, Madison Sloane, Lillie Mae Sloane, Christopher Scott, Angelitta Scott, Jessica Sloane and Jack Kazo; as well as several loving great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by children, George Freeman Sloane Jr, Robin Sloane, and Eugenia Sloane; brothers, Richard Sloane and Theodore Sloane; sisters, Evelyn Young, Betty Booker, and Dorothy Andrade; grandchild, Alberto Morales.
Visitations will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6PM to 8PM and Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 10AM – 11AM with a service to follow at 11AM at the Haisley Tribute Center. Burial will take place at Rolling Oaks Cemetery.
