Gerald Alan McGinnis
Gerald McGinnis, 79, died November 7, 2009 in Stuart, Florida.
Mr. McGinnis was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Stuart 20 years ago coming from Lockport, Illinois.
He retired from Argonne Laboratories after 28 years of dedicated service, had a Masters degree in Mechanical Science, Bachelors degree in Physics, was a commercial pilot and a flight instructor, and was a faithful member and elder of Grace Presbyterian Church and clerk of the session.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, 1875 NW Britt Rd, Stuart, FL 34994.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years Donna McGinnis of Stuart, FL and sister in law Francine Beckstead of Stuart, FL. He was preceded in death by his son Mike McGinnis.
Services: A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009 6:30-7 PM with a service at 7:00 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church in Stuart, FL. Pastor Bernie VanEyk will be officiating the service. Burial will be at a later date in Worth, Illinois.
